What You’ll Do
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to veterans in the outpatient clinic
  • Manage patient health plans, including diagnostics, lab results, and follow-up care
  • Offer health education and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ensure timely same-day access for face-to-face, telehealth, and phone visits
  • Supervise and collaborate with clinic staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and clinic activities
What You Need
  • Medical license in Pennsylvania
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (ABMS or BOS)
  • Prescriptive authority in Pennsylvania
  • Willingness to train in Women’s Health exams
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Ability to pass VA background checks
  • Proven clinical experience in primary care preferred
About the Assignment
This position is at a community-based VA outpatient clinic in Pottsville, committed to providing exceptional healthcare to veterans. The role involves working within a team-oriented environment, adhering to federal standards, and actively contributing to quality improvement efforts in veteran care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no weekend or holiday work required.
