Start Date: ASAP or as negotiated

End Date/Duration: Long-term engagement

Shift: In-house NICU coverage (full-time)

Hours/week: 40 hours/week (flexible based on unit needs)

Employment Type: Full-Time

License/Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology

Experience: Previous neonatology experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide in-house care for critically ill neonates in a Level-IIIB NICU (49 beds)
• Manage extremely low gestational age newborns, including infants as young as 22 weeks
• Utilize advanced therapies such as inhaled nitric oxide, HFOV, HFJV, and therapeutic hypothermia
• Support care for over 450 annual NICU admissions, with an average daily census of 30
• Collaborate closely with board-certified neonatologists and nurse practitioners
• Oversee or support care in a Level-IIIA NICU and growing Level-II NICU
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regional neonatal care coordination
• Contribute to out-of-house coverage via telehealth services
• Engage in opportunities for clinical or academic pursuits

What You Need

Required:

• Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatology
• Valid license to practice in Missouri or eligibility to obtain one

Preferred:

• Experience working with preterm and critically ill neonates
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
