What You’ll Do
- Provide expert neonatal care in a 16-bed Level III NICU, managing an average census of 7-8 critically ill or premature newborns.
- Attend and manage high-risk deliveries, delivering immediate, specialized care to critically ill infants.
- Provide routine newborn nursery care for healthy infants.
- Collaborate with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in 24/7 onsite Neonatal Emergency On-Call services.
- Support over 1,100 annual deliveries by delivering evidence-based, family-centered neonatal care.
- Engage in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Potentially assume leadership roles for qualified physicians.
What You Need
- Medical Degree (MD/DO) in relevant field
- Board Certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Valid Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Completion of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Prior NICU experience preferred but not required
