What You’ll Do
- Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III NICU serving approximately 1,500 deliveries annually
- Attend high-risk deliveries and assess critically ill newborns
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners providing in-house 24-hour coverage and transport call
- Support high-quality, evidence-based clinical practices
- Participate in multidisciplinary team activities including pediatric subspecialty consults
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital protocols
What You Need
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Active or eligibility for New York medical license
- Successful completion of fellowship in Neonatology prior to start date
- Strong clinical skills and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
About the Assignment
A leading hospital in Elmira, NY, offering comprehensive women's health and high-quality neonatal care. The facility features a 20-bed Level III NICU with an average daily census of 13-15 infants and approximately 300 admissions yearly, including transports. The hospital provides advanced ventilation support, including conventional and High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV), supported by excellent nursing and pediatric subspecialty teams.
