Practice Environment

• Hospital-based consultative GI service

• Integrated endoscopy suite

  • Anesthesiology

  • Interventional Radiology

  • Cytopathology

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations

• Perform advanced therapeutic procedures

• Manage complex GI conditions

• Participate in integrated care across multiple campuses

• Collaborate with specialists and APPs

• Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care

Non-emergent advanced therapeutic procedures are available, allowing physicians to maintain and expand specialized skills.

Academic Opportunities

• Teach Internal Medicine residents

• Mentor medical students

Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

• Advanced therapeutic training required

• Iowa medical license (or ability to obtain)

• DEA certification

• BLS certification

• Clean malpractice and license history

Open to both experienced physicians and graduating fellows.
