Parkland Health is seeking a full-time Staff Adult Physician to join the Southeast Dallas Health Center in Dallas, Texas, providing comprehensive, evidence-based outpatient adult medicine care in a collaborative and patient-centered environment focused on improving community health outcomes through high-quality primary care services.

Job Description:

Overview:
The Staff Adult Physician is responsible for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare services to adult medicine patients in an outpatient clinic setting. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions while promoting preventive care and overall wellness. Providers may be trained in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient adult primary care services for approximately 20 patients per day

  • Perform detailed patient assessments including medical histories, psychosocial evaluations, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretation

  • Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and preventive healthcare needs

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines

  • Provide both in-person and virtual healthcare services through audio/video and audio-only encounters as needed

  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings

  • Counsel and educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, chronic disease management, and wellness strategies

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and community resources to ensure coordinated patient-centered care

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the EMR system

  • Demonstrate compassionate, respectful, and patient-valued communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support departmental performance goals

  • Maintain productivity standards and practice cost-effective healthcare delivery

  • Stay current with advancements in medicine through continuing education, seminars, workshops, professional journals, and participation in medical organizations

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, accreditation, and organizational policies and regulations

  • Contribute to workflow improvements, patient satisfaction initiatives, and operational excellence within the clinic

Compensation and Benefits:
