Description:

Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and Southern Vermont Health Services Corporation are seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their growing Orthopedics team in beautiful Brattleboro, Vermont, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal and orthopedic care in both clinical and surgical settings alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons.


Job Description:

  • Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
  • Develop and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and imaging studies
  • Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management and follow-up care
  • Educate patients and families regarding orthopedic conditions, treatment plans, recovery expectations, and rehabilitation
  • Perform orthopedic-related procedures including joint injections and other office-based procedures
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the medical record
  • Participate in rotational call coverage as assigned
  • Adhere to hospital policies, universal precautions, OSHA standards, and patient safety protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary departments to ensure continuity of care
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervising physicians and hospital leadership
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM to PERM candidates
  • Not accepting new grads with less than 1 year's experience
  • Not open to candidates who plan to work this job in conjunction with another position
Compensation and Benefits:
