Compensation: $27.00–$32.00/hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday with a weekend rotation
Facility: 115-bed Skilled Nursing Facility
Rehabilitation: Long-term and short-term care

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join a collaborative rehabilitation team in Waldorf, Maryland. You'll work alongside Physical Therapists and an interdisciplinary care team to provide individualized rehabilitation services to both long-term and short-term patients. Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

  • Implement individualized treatment programs under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities based on patient goals

  • Assist patients with gait, mobility, balance, strength, endurance, and functional training

  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and continued progress

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Collaborate with PTs, nursing staff, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

  • Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Maryland

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused

  • Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment
