Position Overview:

As a Pharmacy Informatics Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing pharmacy systems and workflows, supporting medication safety, and advancing operational efficiency across Salina Regional and affiliated facilities. This is an outstanding opportunity for pharmacists eager to leverage their clinical expertise within the rapidly expanding field of pharmacy informatics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert support and management of pharmacy informatics systems, including automation, electronic health records (EHR), and medication safety monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance medication safety, operational workflows, and regulatory compliance through intelligent technology integration.
  • Support drug diversion prevention programs by monitoring and reporting misuse activities.
  • Maintain the integrity of medication prescribing, dispensing, and supply chain processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and training of new pharmacy technologies and workflows.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and operational efficiency.
  • Provide professional, patient-centered pharmaceutical care, including medication dispensing, drug information, and counseling in accordance with legal standards and hospital policies.

What You Will Work With:
  • Pharmacy automation and dispensing systems
  • Smart IV infusion pumps
  • Barcoding and scanning technologies
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR)
  • Medication safety platforms and monitoring tools
  • Drug diversion tracking systems

Qualifications:
  • Valid pharmacist license in Kansas or eligible for licensure
  • Proven experience with pharmacy informatics systems and technology integration
  • Strong understanding of medication safety, regulatory standards, and supply chain management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
  • Prior experience with automation systems, EHRs, and medication safety tools is preferred

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $118,000 - $170,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
  • Relocation Allowance: Up to $5,000 (discussed during interview)
  • Placement Fee: 18%
  • Admin Fee: 15% (through calendar year 2025)
