We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team in Scarborough, Maine. This permanent, full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with a weekend rotation and the chance to provide meaningful care in a close-knit skilled nursing environment.
This 60-bed skilled nursing facility provides post-hospital, short-term rehabilitation as well as long-term and respite care. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and help individuals regain independence, maintain their functional abilities, and achieve their therapy goals.

Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Implement individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs and goals
Assist patients in improving independence with activities of daily living and functional tasks
Provide therapeutic activities focused on strength, coordination, balance, mobility, and functional performance
Monitor patient progress and communicate observations with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team
Document treatments, patient responses, and progress accurately and in a timely manner
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and safety
Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
Participate in patient-centered care planning and treatment goal development
Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful treatment environment
Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulations
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) license or eligibility for licensure in Maine
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
