What Youll Do
- Lead and coordinate all medical services for Correctional Health within the facility
- Collaborate with behavioral health and other multidisciplinary teams
- Provide clinical oversight for womens and adult health, ensuring quality standards
- Develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
- Supervise and evaluate medical staff, including physicians and advanced practice providers
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff
- Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory standards
- Foster relationships with community partners, law enforcement, and healthcare providers
- Support staff recruitment, retention, and professional development
- Stay current on medical advancements and incorporate best practices
- Promote patient-centered care emphasizing communication, respect, and dignity
What You Need
Required:- Board Certified (VMS Certification) in relevant specialty
- Active medical license in Texas
- Proven leadership experience in healthcare or correctional health settings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage complex clinical environments and regulatory compliance
Preferred:- Experience with correctional health programs
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
