    • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years healthcare leadership, correctional health experience preferred

    What You’ll Do
    • Lead and coordinate all medical services for Correctional Health within the facility
    • Collaborate with behavioral health and other multidisciplinary teams
    • Provide clinical oversight for women’s and adult health, ensuring quality standards
    • Develop and implement policies, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
    • Supervise and evaluate medical staff, including physicians and advanced practice providers
    • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for staff
    • Maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory standards
    • Foster relationships with community partners, law enforcement, and healthcare providers
    • Support staff recruitment, retention, and professional development
    • Stay current on medical advancements and incorporate best practices
    • Promote patient-centered care emphasizing communication, respect, and dignity
    What You Need
    Required:
    • Board Certified (VMS Certification) in relevant specialty
    • Active medical license in Texas
    • Proven leadership experience in healthcare or correctional health settings
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage complex clinical environments and regulatory compliance

    Preferred:
    • Experience with correctional health programs
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
