    Description

    Periodontist – South Charleston, WV

    A dental practice is seeking an experienced Periodontist to provide specialized periodontal and implant care. The role involves diagnosing and treating periodontal conditions, performing surgical procedures, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting the ongoing oral health of patients. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, communication skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to provide direction to clinical support staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and treatment planning

    • Diagnose, prevent, and treat periodontal conditions

    • Perform periodontal and dental implant-related surgical procedures

    • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate patient care

    • Monitor patients' oral health and treatment progress

    • Provide guidance and direction to clinical support staff during patient treatment

    • Maintain compliance with applicable dental regulations and professional standards

    • Communicate treatment recommendations clearly with patients and team members

    • Stay current with advances in periodontal treatment methods and implant dentistry

    Qualifications

    • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school

    • Specialized training in Periodontics

    • Current or eligible dental license required to practice

    • Strong leadership and team-management skills

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Strong problem-solving and clinical decision-making abilities

    • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail

    • Experience with periodontal and implant procedures preferred
