Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with extensive experience in performance engineering standards, strategies, and best practices. This role requires a professional who can design and execute various testing methodologies for distributed applications, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience developing performance engineering standards, strategies, and best practices.
  • Expertise in designing and executing load, stress, endurance, scalability, and benchmark testing for distributed applications.
  • Advanced root cause analysis skills utilizing JVM analysis, thread dumps, heap dumps, database diagnostics, infrastructure monitoring, and observability tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, APIs, microservices, Message Queues, containerized applications, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and implementing shift-left performance testing.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in performance testing and tuning distributed applications deployed on OpenShift/Kubernetes or similar platforms.
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Splunk, Broadcom DX, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or similar solutions.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as StresStimulus, JMeter, Loadrunner, Gatling, or k6.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools such as Client Copilot to analyze logs, identify bottlenecks, and accelerate troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to lead complex performance investigations and influence application, infrastructure, and architectural decisions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain performance engineering standards, strategies, and best practices.
  • Design and execute load, stress, endurance, scalability, and benchmark testing for distributed applications.
  • Conduct advanced root cause analysis to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and implement shift-left performance testing.
