For more than 50 years, Pathways Center has been a trusted provider of comprehensive behavioral healthcare across West-Central Georgia. We provide mental health, substance use disorder, developmental disability, crisis, and community-based services to thousands of individuals each year through a diverse continuum of outpatient, crisis, residential, and community programs.

We are seeking a collaborative, analytical, and service-oriented Performance Improvement Coordinator to help advance quality, compliance, and clinical excellence across our organization.
Position Overview
This is an exciting company-wide leadership support role within Pathways Center's Quality & Compliance Department.
The Performance Improvement Coordinator serves as a trusted resource to clinical and operational leaders by evaluating treatment environments, analyzing program performance, supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring programs meet regulatory, contractual, and evidence-based practice standards.
This position works closely with program leadership throughout the organization to identify opportunities for improvement while promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, accountability, and outstanding clinical care.
Scope of Responsibility
Unlike positions assigned to a single clinic or program, this role supports all Pathways Center service lines across our organization.
Responsibilities include travel throughout Pathways Center's service area in West-Central Georgia, providing onsite consultation and support to clinical teams located in multiple counties and program settings.
The successful candidate will:
Visit outpatient, crisis, residential, community, and specialty programs throughout the organization
Assess treatment environments and operational workflows
Observe clinical practices and provide constructive feedback
Deliver onsite coaching, consultation, and technical assistance
Provide education and training to supervisors, clinicians, and direct service staff
Support implementation of evidence-based practices
Promote consistency in service delivery throughout the organization
Key Responsibilities
The Performance Improvement Coordinator plays a vital role in helping programs achieve excellence through collaboration rather than inspection.
Responsibilities include:
Performance Improvement
Facilitate Performance Improvement Committee meetings across assigned programs
Present performance dashboards and quality indicators
Review trends in clinical outcomes and operational performance
Highlight opportunities for improvement using objective data
Assist leadership teams in developing meaningful performance improvement plans
Monitor progress toward established quality goals
Clinical Consultation
Partner with program leadership to evaluate treatment environments
Provide consultation regarding service guidelines, regulatory expectations, and best practices
Support implementation of new clinical initiatives
Assist programs in strengthening treatment quality and operational effectiveness
Training & Staff Development
Provide company-wide training on quality initiatives
Educate employees regarding service guidelines and program policies
Offer ongoing coaching and consultation to supervisors and direct service staff
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned programs and services
Data Analytics
Using information from Pathways Center's Electronic Health Record (EHR), this position will:
Analyze program performance data
Develop user-friendly dashboards and reports
Identify trends and performance indicators
Communicate outcomes to leadership teams
Support data-driven decision making
Monitor utilization and service delivery patterns
Quality & Compliance
Evaluate programs for compliance with state, federal, contractual, accreditation, and organizational standards
Participate in audits and compliance reviews
Assist with internal investigations and reportable incidents
Develop quality monitoring tools
Promote continuous quality improvement throughout the organization
Work Schedule
The typical schedule for this position is: Monday – Friday during business hours
Because Pathways Center operates several 24-hour, 7-day-a-week programs, occasional flexibility is expected.
There may be times when evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday visits are necessary to:
Provide onsite consultation
Observe treatment environments
Deliver staff education
Support leadership teams
Participate in quality improvement activities within 24/7 service settings
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or a related field
Two (2) years of related experience
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business or a Human Services field
Experience in behavioral healthcare
Experience with quality improvement or healthcare compliance
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Experience working with Electronic Health Records
Experience presenting data to leadership teams
SQL or database experience is a plus
