Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Performance Engineer for a Contract with a client in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in executing end-to-end performance testing through CI/CD pipelines and conducting performance analysis across Linux, JVM, Tomcat, databases, and middleware technologies.

Rate Range: $37/Hour to $38/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Performance Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests using JMeter to validate application scalability and reliability.

• Analyze application and infrastructure performance using monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch, identifying bottlenecks and recommending optimization strategies.

• Implement and maintain automated performance testing solutions integrated within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality engineering practices.

• Perform performance tuning and root cause analysis across AWS environments, JVM, Tomcat/WebSphere servers, Linux systems, and enterprise applications.

• Conduct database performance analysis and optimization for Oracle and DB2 environments, including SQL query tuning and resource utilization assessment.

• Develop workload simulators, automation frameworks, and performance engineering utilities using Java, Python, or similar technologies to support testing and performance monitoring initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.

• Strong expertise in JMeter, performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch), and automation of performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience in AWS performance analysis and tuning, database performance optimization (Oracle/DB2), and performance troubleshooting across Linux, JVM, Tomcat/WebSphere, middleware, and distributed systems.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $38.00 per hour
