Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgical and patient care departments by ensuring medical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, assembled, and distributed. The ideal candidate is committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization processes.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage.
- Prepare and distribute instrument trays and procedure packs as needed.
- Maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with surgical and clinical staff to ensure equipment availability.
Requirements
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous sterile processing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection prevention, and instrument handling.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
