Department Summary:

  • The Waltham Pediatric Inpatient Unit is an 11 bed Surgical Unit, with a typical length of stay of 24 to 72 hours. This position is per diem (4 shifts in 6 weeks) with night/weekend rotation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Caring for post-operative patients. Age range- infants to young adults. Specialties include: Orthopedics/Sports Medicine, ORL, Urology, Plastics, Ophthalmology.
  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating for a complex patient population.

Minimum qualifications:

Education:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years inpatient acute pediatric experience preferred.
  • PALS certification.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
