    CENTER FOR HOPE HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Title: Receptionist

    Department: Reception

    Reports to: Administrator

    POSITION DEFINITION:

    Responsible for answering telephone and related tasks that are essential to the daily operations of the residential facility.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Responsible for admitting and greeting visitors to the facility. Provide them with appropriate information and referring them to appropriate staff.
    2. Answering telephone in appropriate time and manner. Accurately referring calls or taking messages as needed. Recording all calls in log book.
    3. Maintaining census accurately by recording appropriate information in log.
    4. Sort incoming mail - delivering to appropriate parties.
    5. Donations acknowledgements needing a personal letter to be typed and given to administrator for signature.
    6. Maintain necessary forms required at facility, e.g., admission records, nursing notes, etc., so they are available as needed.
    7. Maintain employee time records.
    8. Type all correspondence as needed.
    9. Maintain clerical supplies.
    10. Audit charts as needed.
    11. Data Entry as needed
    12. Perform other duties as requested by Administrator or other staff members as needed.

    WORKING CONDITIONS: Long-term care setting.

    Physical and mental demands in course of work performance.

    Job Hazards: Bending and lifting.

    8. Demonstrates ability to respond to inquiries with regard to the Center For Hope Hospice & Palliative Care program.
    9. Treats each resident, staff member and visitor with respect, courtesy, consideration and dignity.
