NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunities – Downey, CA
We are currently seeking experienced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem opportunities in the Downey, California area.
Requirements
- Active California RN license in good standing
- Must reside in California and live within 30 minutes of the facility
- Minimum of 2 years of recent NICU experience
- Level III NICU experience required
- Previous NICU surgical patient care experience required
- Current BLS, NRP, and any additional facility-required certifications
- Availability to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month
Schedule & Orientation
- Per diem scheduling opportunities
- Clinicians must maintain availability for at least 4 shifts monthly
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Clinicians will complete one unit shift during the same week as orientation
- Ongoing scheduling opportunities available after successful onboarding
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for critically ill and premature neonates in a Level III NICU setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
- Care for neonatal patients requiring complex medical and surgical interventions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments
- Collaborate with neonatologists, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Educate and support families throughout the patient care journey
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
