Gastroenterology Registered Nurses (GI RNs) Needed
Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Gastroenterology (GI) nursing experience
- Strong experience in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care
Responsibilities:
Pre-Operative Care
- Conduct patient intake and assessments
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Review medications and medical history
- Complete required documentation
- Assist patients with preparation for procedures, including dressing and restroom needs
Intra-Operative Care
- Administer IV medications, primarily Fentanyl and Versed (Midazolam)
- Administer additional medications as needed, including antiemetics and antibiotics
- Monitor patient status and provide procedural support
Post-Operative Care
- Monitor and assess patient recovery
- Document patient progress and outcomes
- Provide discharge education and instructions
- Ensure safe discharge and completion of all required documentation
This role requires clinicians who are comfortable managing patients throughout the entire procedural process and providing high-quality care in a fast-paced GI setting.
