REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized Phlebotomy training program preferred
- Current Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a hospital, laboratory, or clinical setting preferred
- Strong specimen collection and handling skills
- Excellent communication and patient service abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
- Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling
- Process and transport specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain compliance with infection-control and safety standards
- Ensure patient comfort and provide clear instructions during procedures
- Document specimen collection activities accurately
- Maintain equipment and supplies needed for specimen collection
- Collaborate with laboratory and healthcare staff to support patient care
