Role Description

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Technical Developer with strong expertise in PeopleSoft development, integrations, Java/messaging, CI/CD automation, and Python. The candidate should have hands-on experience with PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x, PeopleSoft integrations, Oracle PL/SQL, and Unix/Shell scripting.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and support PeopleSoft applications using PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x.
Work with Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine (AE), Component Interface (CI), Component Processor, Pages/Components, Records, Fields, Menus, File Layouts, PS Query, Event Mapping, and WorkCenters.
Design and maintain integrations using Integration Broker, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML/JSON, file-based integrations, SFTP, and Kafka-based event generation.
Develop and support Java/JUnit components and Kafka-based messaging/integration solutions.
Perform PeopleSoft administration activities, including PeopleTools/PIA installation and configuration, environment setup/cloning, and App/Web/Process Scheduler domain configuration.
Support WebLogic and Tuxedo administration, SSL/SSO, security administration, performance tuning, cache/log analysis, troubleshooting, and backup/recovery.
Work with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Support migrations, upgrades, and patching using CAPI, Change Assistant, change packages, and object/project migration (compare/merge/copy).
Utilize Git (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), Jenkins DevOps, Shell/PowerShell scripting, and deployment automation where applicable.
Develop Python-based solutions using Python 3.x, including OOP, functions/decorators, context managers, exception handling, file I/O, JSON/CSV parsing, and concurrent processing.

Essential Skills

Strong PeopleSoft Technical Development experience with PeopleTools 8.5x/8.6x.
Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Component Processor, PS Query, Event Mapping, and WorkCenters.
Integration Broker, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML/JSON, SFTP, and file-based integrations.
Java, JUnit, and Kafka for event generation/integration.
Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Unix Shell Scripting and text-processing tools.
Git, Jenkins DevOps, Shell/PowerShell scripting, and deployment automation.
Python 3.x development.

Desirable Skills

PeopleSoft administration, including PIA, WebLogic, Tuxedo, SSL/SSO, security, and performance tuning.
Experience with PeopleSoft migrations, upgrades, patching, CAPI, and Change Assistant.
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization capabilities.
