We pride ourselves on being travel experts. Leading the way when it comes to providing unique travel experiences, our brands offer the world's best polar expeditions, wildlife safaris, cultural tours, yachting adventures and more.

Our ambition is to build the world's leading experiential travel company. With over 2500 colleagues across 30 countries worldwide, we are working together to achieve this by sharing our knowledge, expertise and best practices to stay at the forefront of the travel industry.

We are looking to hire a People Services Specialist to join our team! Reporting to the People Services Team Leader at Travelopia you'll play an important role in delivering a high-quality HR support service to our business across multiple geographies, including the USA, Canada, the Caribbean and Costa Rica. You'll also have opportunities to support our wider global teams across India, Greece, Croatia, the UK and South Africa.

This role offers exposure across the employee lifecycle, providing responsive, reliable and people-focused support to HR colleagues, managers and employees to ensure a smooth, positive experience.

You'll also work with HR systems, data and processes, maintaining accurate people information and helping identify better ways of working. It's ideal for someone who enjoys operational HR, takes pride in great service, and is curious about how systems and data support an effective People function.

What we'll offer:

  • Competitive base salary ($45.000 to $55.000 per year)
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Retirement savings plan with company contributions
  • Generous paid time off allowance and birthday day off
  • Flexible hybrid working schedules
  • Parental leave and family-supportive policies
  • Charity or volunteering time off
  • Group-wide travel discounts

What you'll do:

  • Manage employee lifecycle administration, including offer documents, contracts, employment letters, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding.
  • Serve as a People Services contact for employees and managers across the USA, Canada, the Caribbean and Costa Rica, providing clear, timely support.
  • Complete People Services activities accurately, consistently and in line with relevant requirements and agreed service levels.
  • Maintain complete and accurate electronic personnel files that are ready for audit when required.
  • Partner with payroll and reward teams so employee data supports accurate pay and benefits processing.
  • Support People Directors and HR colleagues with employee lifecycle and People Services questions.
  • Provide first-line support for HR system questions related to People Services processes.
  • Set up and update employee records for new starters, employee changes, leavers and organisational changes.
  • Run regular data checks and audits to maintain accurate, reliable and compliant people data.
  • Maintain global headcount and people data, and provide accurate information and reports when needed.
  • Identify practical ways to standardise processes and improve the efficiency and quality of People Services delivery.
  • Support HR system enhancements, rollouts and smaller system-related projects.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects, initiatives and changing team priorities.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in People Services or HR administration, including exposure to the employee lifecycle.
  • A consistent approach to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality data.
  • Confidence using HR systems and handling employee information with care and discretion.
  • The ability to work in a hybrid arrangement and attend the Clearwater office once a week.
  • An interest in systems, processes and the role data plays in effective HR operations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to organise work and manage competing priorities across time zones.
  • Experience supporting employees or teams across multiple countries or regions.
  • Exposure to HR systems administration or a shared services environment.
  • Experience contributing to process improvement, system changes or data-related initiatives.

We believe people perform best when they can be their true selves and diverse teams drive better results. We're committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where everyone can succeed.
