Position Summary: The People & Culture Generalist provides general HR support across talent acquisition, total rewards, engagement initiatives, and learning and development programs. This role requires both critical thinking and hands-on execution, balancing employee advocacy with business needs while operating with significant autonomy, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
Position Responsibilities:
Learning & Development / Employee Engagement (45%)
Learning & Development Support
- Identify training needs through performance trends and manager feedback
- Conduct needs analysis, coordinate training programs and evaluate effectiveness
- Job architecture and competency development
- LMS administrator for organization
Engagement Initiatives
- Support implementation of company-wide engagement initiatives and culture programs
- Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
- Support annual engagement and pulse survey processes
HR Operations (35%)
Day to Day HR Support
- Point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related questions and concerns
- Maintain employee records accurately and timely
- Interpret and enforce HR policies consistently across the organization
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve employee experience
- Contribute to policy development and updates as needed
- Participate in People & Culture projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
Total Rewards (10%)
Benefits Education & Support
- Assist with employee benefit questions
- Communicate general benefits information clearly to employees at all levels
Compensation Support
- Assist with compensation analysis, market pricing, and salary recommendations
- Support annual merit increases and bonus processes
- Help develop comprehensive total rewards initiatives as needed
Talent Management (10%)
Recruitment Support
- Source diverse, qualified candidates through multiple recruitment channels
- Conduct phone screens, coordinate interview processes, and facilitate hiring decisions
- Execute offer letters for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers
Employee Experience
- Coordinate comprehensive onboarding experience for new hires
- Support new hire orientation and early integration into company culture
- Monitor new hire experience and address issues proactively
- Participate in employee separation process
- Conduct exit interviews
Position Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field OR equivalent combination of education and HR experience (equal to 4 years)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of progressive HR generalist or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Recruitment experience
- Preferred: Familiarity working in multi-state/global environments
- Preferred: Experience in technology, software or professional services industry
- Strongly Preferred: Understanding of various employment laws
- Strongly Preferred: Experience supporting remote/hybrid workforce
Technical Skills:
- Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Required: HRIS experience (experience with UKG a plus)
- Required: Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience
- Required: Learning Management System (LMS) experience
- Preferred: Familiarity with use of AI tools
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
