    General Summary
    The People Analytics Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping Vertex’s HR data strategy by leveraging advanced analytics, experimentation, and storytelling to drive data-informed decisions across the employee lifecycle. This role will partner closely with HR and business leaders to uncover insights, design experiments, and communicate findings that influence talent strategies and organizational effectiveness. The People Analytics Sr. Manager will be focused on building scalable data and AI solutions and translating research and analytics into actionable business insights


    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    ·      Lead the design and execution of people analytics projects that support strategic HR initiatives, including talent acquisition, retention, performance, and engagement.

    ·      Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights to HR and business stakeholders including reports in Workday

    ·      Apply statistical and experimental methods (e.g., A/B testing, regression analysis) to evaluate HR programs and interventions.

    ·      Translate complex data into compelling narratives that inform and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.

    ·      Ensure ethical and compliant use of employee data in accordance with Vertex’s privacy and security policies.

    ·      Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate data from multiple systems (e.g., Workday, survey platforms, learning systems) to build holistic views of workforce trends.

    ·      Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leaders, helping them interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.

    ·      Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in people analytics and recommend innovative approaches to enhance Vertex’s capabilities.


    Knowledge and Skills

    ·      Experience building AI capabilities, ideally Human Resources AI capabilities, including agents is required.

    ·      Deep expertise in HR data, analytics methodologies, and tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI).

    ·      Strong understanding of HR domains such as talent acquisition, talent management, organizational development, and employee experience.

    ·      Ability to triangulate data from diverse sources and generate insights that challenge assumptions and drive transformation.

    ·      Skilled in storytelling and communication; able to tailor messages to technical and non-technical audiences.

    ·      Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and foster a data-driven culture.

    High ethical standards and commitment to responsible data usage.

    Education and Experience

    ·      Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Psychology, or related field.

    ·      Minimum 7 years of experience in people analytics, HR reporting, or related roles.

    ·      Proven track record of designing and executing analytics projects that impact HR strategy and business outcomes.

    ·      Experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams

    Pay Range:

    $145,600 - $218,400

    Disclosure Statement:

    The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

    Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible

    Flex Eligibility Status:

    In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
    1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
    2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
