Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care for pediatric Emergency Medicine patients
Supervise and teach Emergency Medicine residents, pediatric residents and medical students
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department committees
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Participate in department meetings and educational conferences
Assist with trauma resuscitations and critical care stabilization
Provide consultation to other departments as needed
Required Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from accredited institution
Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Current Virginia medical license or ability to obtain
Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification
Completion of accredited Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine residency

Preferred Qualifications
Fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Previous academic medical center experience
