    BayCare is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Acute Care Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. We are a full-service hospital offering outpatient services, intensive care, a 24-bed maternity unit, imaging, lab, surgical services, and more, in a relaxing, family-centered environment.

    Acute Care Pelvic Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

    • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, including assessment of pelvic floor dysfunction, musculoskeletal impairments, mobility limitations, and functional deficits.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address pelvic health conditions, post-surgical recovery, continence concerns, pain management, mobility, and overall function.
    • Provide evidence-based interventions including pelvic floor muscle assessment and training, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, functional mobility training, and patient education.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning.
    • Educate patients and caregivers on pelvic health conditions, home exercise programs, self-management strategies, bladder and bowel health, recovery expectations, and community resources.
    • Support post-operative care for patients following gynecological, urological, colorectal, obstetric, and pelvic reconstructive procedures as appropriate.
    • Document evaluations, treatment interventions, patient progress, and discharge recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient-centered care planning.
    • Serve as a clinical resource for pelvic health rehabilitation and promote awareness of pelvic floor dysfunction across hospital departments.

    Requirements:

    • Required BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • Required PT (Physical Therapy)
    • Or PT (Physical Therapy) Eligible to obtain
    • Or PT (Physical Therapy) Temporary and licensure within 6 months
    • Required Bachelor's Physical Therapy
    • Preferred 1 year Physical Therapist

    Location: St Josephs South Hospital - Riverview, FLStatus: Full Time, Exempt: NoShift Hours: 5 8-hour or 4 10-hour shifts/Days

    Weekend Work: Occasional
