    Primary Purpose: Assists the Executive Director, Student Support Services and district PEIMS leadership in the coordination, validation, and timely submission of accurate student data required for the district's PEIMS reporting to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). Supports campuses with data quality, provides technical assistance and training on PEIMS-related data entry, and helps ensure the district's compliance with state reporting requirements, coding standards, and submission deadlines. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Experience in student data management, campus registration, attendance, or PEIMS reporting preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Communicates with all campuses regarding attendance, discipline, registration, leaver data, records fulfillment/requests and any other student-related issues.

    Conducts training sessions for campus staff in the area of attendance, discipline, registration and student records.

    Assists campuses and departments with questions and/or direction in maintaining or correcting student data.

    Monitors TREx (Texas Records Exchange) to ensure campuses comply with TEA rules for records processing.

    Assists Technology Services and other departments in monitoring and reconciling student data per daily edits (Certify) and/or eSchoolPLUS or SSRS reports.

    Monitors PEIMS coding, special programs data, in-district and out-of district transfer rules, and applications and coding.

    Assists Coordinator for PEIMS and District Planning with communicating audit results and recommendations to campus and department administrators, staff, and to specific district administrators.

    Provides assistance to campuses, special programs and departments to address inconsistencies or deficiencies in data or procedures for permanent resolution.

    Apply all rules associated with student data and PEIMS-related staff and budget data.

    Communicates rule changes and data/documentation requirements to campuses, special programs, administrative staff, and Technology Services.

    Coordinates with Technology Services, campuses, special programs, and departments to ensure data and data collection instruments are appropriate and ready for processing.

    Assists in building PEIMS files for submissions and resolving data issues preventing the successful submission of district files.

    Assists with cleaning up fatal, special warning and warning messages generated by PEIMS submission, Enrollment Tracking (ET) submission and Unique ID (UID) submission/validation processes.

    Contacts and assists campuses, special programs, and departments, in resolving UID discrepancies and any other data issues identified during the PEIMS submission process.

    Archives state reports and disseminate campus, special programs, and department reports to appropriate personnel.

    Enrolls and maintains at least one campus, special program, or department contact with access to state UID database and/or organization specific PEIMS reports.

    Enters data from daily reports into computer applications, external to district database management system.

    Assists in communicating results of internal analyses to specific district personnel as determined by Coordinator.

    Assists Coordinator with developing and producing meeting materials.

    Provides technical assistance and support during meetings for both Coordinator and attendees.

    Attends meetings held by other departments that involve PEIMS data or have an impact on data, reports, and documents that involve the Coordinator for PEIMS and District Planning, as determined by Coordinator.

    Assists with data cleanup and campus, special program, or department contacts that are directly related to producing projections or rezoning scenarios. Killeen ISD

    . Assists Coordinator in supplying data, producing requested reports or answering questions from both internal and external organizations.

    Assist Coordinator with phone and email correspondence to district users daily.

    Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Tools/Equipment Used: Ability to use peripheral devices, high level language programming concepts, data management software, and application development tools.

    Posture/Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting. Motion: Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders. Lifting: Regular moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds); occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over). Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Occasional district-wide travel to multiple campuses, as assigned. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
