Pega Senior Software Architect
Location: Remote, Washington, DC
Duration: 24 months
We are seeking an experienced professional to provide technical leadership for enterprise Pega application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have advanced Pega expertise, strong Java development skills, and experience with workflow-based solutions, application architecture, integrations, code reviews, deployment, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for Pega solution architecture, application design, development, integration, and deployment.
- Design scalable workflow and case management solutions using the Pega Platform.
- Guide development teams and ensure adherence to Pega standards, guardrails, and best practices.
- Conduct source code and technical design reviews.
- Develop and promote reusable Pega design patterns and components.
- Design and support integrations between Pega and external enterprise systems.
- Support CI/CD, continuous deployment, and application release activities.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Pega application performance.
- Coordinate Pega vendor service requests and technical issue resolution.
- Support planning and resolution of platform-level Section 508 accessibility defects.
- Prepare and maintain technical architecture and application documentation.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with Pega Platform and Pega application development.
- Pega Senior System Architect (SSA) certification is required.
- Strong experience with Pega solution architecture, workflow, and case management solutions.
- Strong Java/J2EE development knowledge.
- Experience conducting source code and design reviews.
- Experience with Pega integrations, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, continuous deployment, DevOps, and release management.
- Experience with application performance troubleshooting and optimization.
- Strong understanding of software development processes and best practices.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience developing reusable Pega components and design patterns.
- Experience with Section 508/accessibility defect remediation.
- Experience coordinating technical issues and service requests with Pega vendor support.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise application modernization programs.
