    Description

    Seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide recovery support services to clients receiving behavioral health treatment at North Community Counseling Centers. The ideal candidate will use their lived experience to provide hope, encouragement, and support while helping clients achieve their recovery goals. This candidate will be compassionate, dependable, and able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

    The position is responsible for providing peer support services, assisting clients with developing coping skills and recovery strategies, connecting clients with community resources, supporting treatment goals, and documenting services in the Electronic Medical Record (CareLogic).

    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, maintain professional boundaries, and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience working in behavioral health or community mental health is preferred.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide peer support services through the use of lived experience and recovery principles
    • Assist clients with developing coping skills and recovery strategies
    • Connect clients with community resources and support services
    • Support clients in achieving individualized treatment and recovery goals
    • Provide advocacy, encouragement, and role modeling
    • Collaborate with clinical staff as part of the treatment team
    • Complete timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (CareLogic)
    • Maintain ethical, therapeutic relationships while ensuring client confidentiality 

    Full-time or Part-time

    Wage:  $18.26 - $20.00 hourly depending on experience
