The Peer Recovery Specialist Lead functions as a peer services leader and subject matter expert supporting peer staff and program development a

     

    This position will serve as a resource and consultant regarding peer recovery support services and best practices. Provide mentorship and coaching related to peer service delivery and documentation while maintaining ethical boundaries and appropriate use of lived experience. Promote recovery principles including hope, resiliency, empowerment, and self-determination. Assist programs in integrating peer support services into multidisciplinary teams. Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to improve recovery outcomes and service integration. Promote effective communication and teamwork between peer staff and clinical teams. Actively participate in staff meetings, case reviews, supervision and required training. Promote effective communication and teamwork between peer staff and clinical teams. May provide direct peer recovery support services as needed. Ensure completion of documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards. Strictly comply with HIPAA regulations, individual rights, and agency privacy policies. Ensure the ongoing safety and security of consumers and the agency facility. Performs related work as assigned.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

     

    An Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related human services field preferred. Requires 1-2 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Peer Recovery Certification required.
