Responsibilities:
- Use lived experience in recovery to provide peer support, mentorship, and advocacy for adults with behavioral health needs.
- Build trusting relationships through community outreach, individual and group support, and by empowering clients to achieve their recovery goals.
- Connect clients with behavioral health services, community resources, housing, transportation, benefits, and other essential supports.
- Respond to crisis situations, provide emotional support, and promote resilience, self-advocacy, and overall wellness.
- Assist with developing life skills, coping strategies, and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) to encourage long-term recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, community partners, and healthcare providers.
- Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care while modeling hope, wellness, and the principles of recovery.
