Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution

Certifications Requirements:

• North Carolina RN license (or ability to obtain)
• PALS certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• CPR certification (or equivalent)

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year of pediatric nursing experience, including pediatric ICU or inpatient care
• Hands-on experience with ventilators, defibrillators, intubation, and emergency response
• Experience providing family education and care planning

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work multiple shifts, including varied hours
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients in a hospital setting.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement appropriate care plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency procedures such as ventilator support and defibrillation.
• Collaborate with physicians, family members, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and accurately to comply with hospital policies and standards.
