    Summary

    The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy & Immunology, is currently seeking an Assistant Professor to join its Immunology Service.

    Leadership opportunities within the Section and Service are available and will be dependent on expertise and field reputation.

    Job Duties:

    • Provide safe, timely, effective, and efficient patient care at TCH West Campus in inpatient and outpatient settings.
    • Provide clinical leadership to medical and nursing staff.
    • Role model ethical and professional behavior with every interaction.
    • Supervise and educate medical and nursing staff when appropriate in the care of Immunology patients.
    • Educate and supervise trainees including fellows, residents, medical students, and advanced practice practitioners.
    • Partner closely with Clinical Leadership (TCH Practice Administrator and Nurse Managers) to create cohesive leadership for the A&I service.
    • Review and understand patient safety issues and incidences; proactively work with leadership to resolve.
    • Develop and refine standard operating procedures and protocols for the A&I service.

    Qualifications:

    • MD/DO or equivalent
    • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
    • Board certified/eligible in Allergy & Immunology

    Work Authorization Requirement:

    This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
