About the Role:
Help advance Pediatric Surgery at one of the regions leading academic health systems. Golisano Childrens Hospital at UK offers the opportunity to combine high-acuity surgical care, academic medicine, and quality leadership within a collaborative and growing program.
This role combines complex pediatric surgical care with opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership in quality improvement. The physician will play a key role in advancing the Pediatric Surgery Quality Program while contributing to continued program growth and innovation.
Practice Highlights:
Established Team: Join a team of 7 pediatric surgeons supported by APPs and trainees
Clinical Practice: Broad-spectrum pediatric surgery including minimally invasive, robotic, trauma, and complex surgical care
Advanced Resources: Practice at a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with ECMO capabilities and ELSO Center of Excellence designation
Comprehensive Care: 88-bed Level IV NICU and 16-bed PICU supporting high-acuity neonatal and pediatric care
Academic Environment: Teach and mentor medical students and residents within a leading academic medical center with opportunities for clinical and population-based research
Quality Leadership Opportunity: Lead and advance the Pediatric Surgery Quality Program

Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of General Surgery residency
Completion of Pediatric Surgery fellowship
Board-eligible/board-certified in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery
Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure
Academic experience preferred
