    Contract Speech Therapist ? Pediatric Health Choice (PPEC)

    Pediatric Health Choice is a leading Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center dedicated to improving the lives of medically fragile and developmentally delayed children. We provide a safe, supportive environment where children receive skilled nursing care, therapies, and education?offering families peace of mind and children the opportunity to thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Contract Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team.

    Location: St. Petersburg, FL

    Employment Type: Contract | Flexible Schedule

    Schedule: Monday?Friday | Daytime Hours Only

    Compensation: Competitive hourly rate | W-9 Contractor

    Position Overview

    As a Contract Speech Therapist at Pediatric Health Choice, you will work directly with children to assess, plan, and deliver individualized speech-language therapy services that foster communication, feeding, and swallowing skills. You?ll collaborate with nurses, physical and occupational therapists, case managers, and families to promote each child?s overall development and quality of life.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct speech-language evaluations for pediatric patients with complex medical and developmental needs

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, feeding, and swallowing abilities

    Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate therapy sessions tailored to each child?s goals

    Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with PPEC and state regulations

    Educate and coach families on therapeutic strategies, home practice activities, and communication support techniques

    Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during care planning and progress reviews

    Ensure compliance with HIPAA, clinical standards, and ethical practices

    Qualifications

    Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Prefer 1 year of pediatric experience (PPEC, early intervention, or medically fragile population experience preferred)

    Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

    Current CPR certification and ability to pass a Level II background screening
