    Description

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist — Clinic + Early Intervention
    Northern Virginia | Full-Time

At Premier Pediatric Therapy Source (PPTS), we believe pediatric SLPs shouldn't have to choose between the variety of community-based work and the consistency of an outpatient clinic. We're looking for a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in a unique clinic + Early Intervention role. This position combines Early Intervention and community-based services earlier in the day with outpatient pediatric speech therapy at PPTS in the afternoons, giving you the opportunity to work across settings while building a full-time caseload.

    Why This Position?
    • Two Settings. One Full-Time Caseload.
    • Start your day providing Early Intervention and community-based services with young children and families, then transition to PPTS for afternoon outpatient therapy.
    • You'll have the variety of community-based work paired with the resources, collaboration, and consistency of an established pediatric clinic.

    Start With an Established Caseload:
    • You'll step into an established afternoon caseload rather than starting from an empty schedule.
    • PPTS has ongoing demand for afternoon speech therapy, giving you the opportunity to make an immediate impact while building toward a sustainable full-time caseload through a combination of clinic-based and Early Intervention services.

Support That Lets You Focus on Therapy:
    • You treat. We handle the logistics.
    • Our front office and administrative team supports scheduling, family communication, authorizations, and other administrative needs so you can focus on providing great care.
    • You'll also have protected time for documentation and planning.

    Clinical Judgment & Support:
    • We trust our therapists to use their clinical judgment and develop creative, individualized treatment approaches.
    • Interested in feeding, AAC, early language, social communication, parent coaching, groups, or another area of pediatric speech?
    • We want you to have the opportunity to grow your skills around your interests and the needs of the children and families we serve.

    About the Position:
As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate and treat children from birth through 18 years of age across Early Intervention, community-based, and outpatient settings.

    You Will:
    • Provide Early Intervention and community-based speech-language services.
    • Evaluate and treat children with a variety of communication and developmental needs.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
    • Provide evidence-based, child-centered interventions.
    • Educate and coach parents and caregivers.
    • Complete documentation within scheduled administrative time.
    • Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, families, physicians, educators, and community providers.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care coordination.
    • Contribute to program development and other clinic initiatives.

    Schedule & Caseload:
    • Full-time position with a schedule designed around morning Early Intervention/community-based services and afternoon outpatient clinic coverage.
    • Schedule may be tailored within reason based on candidate availability and the needs of the practice.
    • Established afternoon pediatric caseload.
    • Full-time caseload target of approximately 35–42 weekly visits when fully built.
    • 45-minute appointment blocks with 35-minute treatment sessions in the clinic.
    • Protected documentation and planning time.
    • Front office support for scheduling and family communication.
    • Administrative support for authorizations and billing.

    What We're Looking For:
    • Current Virginia SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
    • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility.
    • Master's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
    • Early Intervention Certification (Must be obtained prior to start date).
      • Free certification course instructions can be sent to hired candidates for completion (Takes about 17 hours to complete).
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    • Passion for pediatric therapy and family-centered care.
    • Comfortable working independently in the community and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinic.
    • Creative, flexible, and growth-minded approach.
    • Pediatric experience preferred.
    • Early Intervention experience is a plus, but not required.

    Compensation & Benefits:
    • Competitive compensation.
    • Annual increase eligibility.
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Paid time off.
    • Paid holidays.
    • CEU reimbursement.
    • 401(k).
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
    • Structured mentorship and onboarding.
    • Support from a multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team.

    Why PPTS?
We're building a pediatric therapy practice where clinicians can provide meaningful care without being defined by a single setting or specialty.
At PPTS, you can build your career across Early Intervention, outpatient pediatrics, and the clinical areas you're most passionate about — with the support of a team that handles the administrative side so you can focus on your patients.

If you're looking for a pediatric SLP role that offers variety, stability, autonomy, and room to grow, we'd love to meet you.
