Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Registered Nurse provides care to infants from birth to pediatric patients prior to their 18thbirthday, or older if they have a medical/surgical problem, followed or treated by a pediatric specialist. In this role, you will provide the best possible care to each patient based upon their individual needs. We are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.   • You will be providing total patient care during inter-hospital transports
  • You will be facilitating the transfer of patient and completing all transport shifts as assigned, while also maintaining a willingness to participate in outreach activities on behalf of the department/hospital
  • You will be performing delegated medical functions within the parameters of the Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures and protocols
  • You will be initiating emergency protocols independently following ACLS, PALS, and NRP guidelines
  • You will be collaborating with the Physician and referral staff to develop an individualized plan of care for the patient

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred
  • Current Nevada RN license
  • Minimum of five (5) years as an RN with three (3) years of full time pediatric critical care or neonatal critical care experience as an RN required
  • Obtain and maintain certifications in BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE and TNCC
  • Specialty certification required to the transport team (such as CFRN, CTRN, CCRN, RNC, CEN, CPEN or other certification related to pediatric, neonatal and/or transport critical care), and C-NPT required within one (1) year of hire and independently maintained while employed on transport team
