    Pediatric Medical Assistant

    Broken Arrow, OK | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | $18–$20/hour DOE | Temp-to-Perm

    Job Summary

    A busy pediatric clinic in Broken Arrow is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Pediatric Medical Assistant to join their team! The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric patients and be comfortable providing both clinical and administrative support. This position will assist with patient intake, vital signs, immunizations, phlebotomy, procedures, and patient education while providing a positive and welcoming experience for children and their families.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet, room, and prepare pediatric patients for examinations and procedures.
    • Obtain and accurately document vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, and other measurements.
    • Perform phlebotomy and pediatric blood draws as needed.
    • Administer pediatric immunizations and assist with routine clinical procedures.
    • Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and treatments.
    • Update and maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the EMR.
    • Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents and guardians regarding care instructions and follow-up needs.
    • Provide reassurance and age-appropriate support to children during exams, injections, and blood draws.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly clinical environment.
    • Follow all clinic policies, safety procedures, and infection-control standards.
    • Provide excellent patient care and customer service to children and their families.

    Qualifications

    • Previous pediatric medical assisting experience required.
    • MUST have experience administering immunization shots to pediatric patients.
    • Phlebotomy experience is required, including the ability to perform blood draws on pediatric patients.
    • CMA or RMA certification preferred, but not required.
    • CPR/BLS certification required.
    • Working knowledge of pediatric care and vaccination practices.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with infants, children, and adolescents.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
    • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
