Job Summary:

HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s is seeking a pediatric interventional cardiologist to join their growing pediatric cardiology service and serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric Cath Lab

Medical Director Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct clinical care in the cath lab, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics
  • Oversee pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures – ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to evidence-based standards
  • Drive adoption of new devices and techniques in collaboration with industry and academic partners
  • Lead and develop a state-of-the-art interventional cardiology program.
  • Participate in weekly cardiology case conference
  • Grow and advance the interventional cardiology program through innovation, technology adoption, and strategic planning
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgery, ICU, and cardiology divisions to strengthen the congenital heart program
  • Develop new clinical pathways to improve patient access and outcomes
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives related to cath lab performance, outcomes, and patient safety
  • Standardize care protocols across the interventional and broader cardiology teams
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with hospital, state, and national standards
  • Manage cath lab operations including scheduling, staffing, and equipment planning
  • Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for the interventional program
  • Represent the program in hospital committees, leadership meetings, and community partnerships
Candidate Requirements:
  • Board certified in pediatric cardiology
  • Pediatric interventional cardiology fellowship trained
  • 3+ years practice experience preferred
  • Collaborative, motivated, and committed to excellence in patient care
  • Strong leadership and management skills
