Pediatric Hospital Sitter – Resource Pool (PRN)

Location: Amarillo, TX
Pay: $13–$15/hour
Schedule: PRN / As Needed

Join BrightStar Care as a Pediatric Hospital Sitter, providing compassionate bedside observation and support to pediatric patients in hospital settings. This position is ideal for caregivers who enjoy working with children and want flexible PRN hours based on hospital staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous bedside supervision and maintain a safe, comfortable environment

• Monitor patient activity and promptly report concerns to nursing staff

• Provide age-appropriate conversation, redirection, and supportive interaction

• Follow hospital safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines

• Document observations and communicate professionally with clinical staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Experience with children in healthcare, caregiving, childcare, education, behavioral health, or related settings preferred

• CNA, Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, or babysitting experience is a plus

• Patient, attentive, compassionate, and able to remain alert during extended shifts

• Current CPR certification preferred

• Must successfully complete required background checks and onboarding
