About El Paso Children's Hospital Emergency Department
Annual patient volume of 27,000
13-bed ED
EMR: Cerner
CLEO dictation for efficient, accurate clinical documentation, reducing administrative responsibility and supporting real-time patient care
24 hours of physician coverage (12-hour shifts)
12-24 hours of APC coverage
Position Requirements
Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) board certification is primarily offered through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM); physicians must be certified in either peds or EM, complete an ACGME-accredited fellowship, and pass the combined specialty exam
Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
Faculty appointment with Texas Tech
