Brain Balance Overland Park | Overland Park, KS

Love Working With Kids? Come Do Work That Matters!

Are you a COTA who loves hands-on pediatric treatment, enjoys understanding how children develop, and wants to make a meaningful difference?

Brain Balance Overland Park is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable COTA to join our growing pediatric neurodevelopmental program.

Our individualized approach focuses on foundational developmental skills that support attention, emotional regulation, coordination, motor planning, learning, and independence.

We're looking for someone who values clinical excellence, enjoys working directly with children, and wants to grow with a positive, supportive team.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

  • Specialized pediatric treatment: Individualized sensory-motor, vestibular, balance, coordination, and developmental interventions.

  • Experienced mentorship: Learn from an OTR/L with more than 30 years of pediatric developmental experience.

  • Guaranteed hours: A consistent 24-hour workweek while your clinical caseload grows.

  • Work-life balance: Four-day schedule, two earlier evenings, and Fridays off.

  • Positive team culture: High standards, accountability, encouragement, teamwork, and fun.

  • Professional growth: Specialized training and opportunities to expand your clinical responsibilities.

Schedule & Compensation

$33–$38/hour, depending on experience.

24 guaranteed paid hours weekly:

  • Monday: 1:30–7:30 p.m.

  • Tuesday: 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 1:30–7:30 p.m.

  • Thursday: 11:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

  • Fridays and weekends off.

What You'll Do

  • Provide individualized pediatric OT interventions under appropriate OTR/L supervision.

  • Implement treatment plans addressing sensory-motor processing, balance, postural control, coordination, motor planning, and functional participation.

  • Observe student responses, communicate progress, and complete timely clinical documentation.

  • Build positive, encouraging relationships with children and families.

  • Participate in specialized training and clinical collaboration.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, engaging treatment environment.

This is a clinical position, not an administrative position.

During the initial caseload-building period, some paid hours will include specialized training, student coaching, treatment preparation, and limited operational support.

As enrollment grows, direct occupational therapy services will become the primary focus of the position.

We're hiring a therapist who wants to provide excellent pediatric care and grow with our program.

Who We're Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Current Kansas COTA license or eligibility before beginning clinical duties.

  • Passion for working with children.

  • Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Positive, energetic, patient, and dependable.

  • Detail-oriented and committed to quality treatment.

  • Eager to learn, receptive to feedback, and comfortable working collaboratively.

Pediatric experience is preferred, but motivated newer COTAs are encouraged to apply.

Our Culture

We believe excellent clinical care and a fun, encouraging workplace belong together.
