Job Summary:

HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s is seeking two Advanced Practice Providers to join their growing Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

Qualified Candidates:
 
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current licensure and certification (BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred)
  • Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) experience preferred
  • Plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric and adult congenital cardiac patients
  • Works collaboratively with cardiologists, intensivists, surgeons, nurses, and other team members, the APP manages complex patients across the continuum of care—from admission through discharge.
  • Responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing medications and therapies. APPs participate in daily rounds, respond to emergencies, and provide procedural support as needed. They also facilitate communication with families, contribute to care coordination, and ensure smooth transitions between inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
  • Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage

  • When applicable, may be eligible for additional compensation if engaged to provide call coverage services and/or administrative services.
