Job Summary:

The Pediatric Cardiac ICU at Medical City Children’s Hospital is seeking a certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner  or physician assistant to join its dynamic Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care team.

Qualified Candidates
  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate Program
  • Pediatric Nursing Care Board Acute Care credential (CPNP-AC)
  • Experience in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit or a comparable high-acuity setting is preferred, but not required
  • Prior cardiac experience preferred, but not required
  • Availability to participate in rotating night and weekend coverage

Program and Medical City Children Hospital Highlights:
  • Growing pediatric cardiac critical care team of eleven physicians and eight nurse practitioners
  • New dedicated state-of-the-art 25 bed cardiac ICU and 12-bed cardiac step-down unit
  • 250+ congenital cardiac surgical cases annually (pediatric/adult)
  • Dedicated pediatric interventional catheterization (300+ cases annually), electrophysiology, advanced imaging and ECMO programs
  • Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) and fetal intervention/surgery capabilities
  • Growing Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program
  • 254-bed, award-winning pediatric healthcare center with full spectrum of neonatal, pediatric and women’s services
  • Largest Level IV NICU in north Texas (108 beds)
  • Shared campus with Medical City Dallas (MCD), making it the only hospital in North Texas to offer care for all ages, from neonates to adults, under one roof
