What Youll Do
- Provide direct patient care in the PCU float pool, supporting adult patients with varying acuity levels
- Float to different units within the hospital and possibly to another nearby OSU-affiliated hospital (approx. 5-6 minute walk)
- Manage patient assessments, IV starts, and telemetry monitoring using EPIC electronic medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Respond promptly to patient needs, ensuring safety and comfort
- Document all patient interactions accurately and efficiently
- Support unit operations during your shift, maintaining high-quality nursing standards
What You Need
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- BLS & ACLS certification mandatory
- 2+ years of RN experience (applicants with 1-2 years may be considered upon manager review)
- Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and EPIC EMR system
- Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity
- Strong clinical skills and teamwork mindset
