PCB Through-Hole/Selective Soldering Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Through-Hole/Selective Soldering Technician in Aurora, OH, to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with electronic manufacturing experience who are looking to grow their skills in soldering and PCB assembly.

Our client is a contract IT electronics manufacturer committed to quality and continuous improvement. As a valued team member, you will perform precise touch-up and soldering of through-hole components, with opportunities to expand into touch-up SMT work. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality PCB assemblies that meet industry standards. If you're professional, reliable, and eager to develop your skills, we want to hear from you.

Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: $20+ per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
• Perform touch-up and soldering of through-hole components
• Learn and assist with touch-up SMT (fine pitch, SOIC, etc.)
• Install complex board modifications using a microscope
• Follow detailed work instructions and specifications
• Perform visual inspection of PCBs for IPC-A-610 standards
• Use handheld soldering equipment for basic soldering and de-soldering
• Track and request work supplies as needed
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts
• Perform other duties, including moving materials as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
• High School diploma
• Experience with touch-up and soldering of electronic components
• Assembly experience with the ability to produce consistent work
• Two or more years of electronic manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and follow detailed instructions
• Must live within 20 minutes of Aurora

Nice to Have Skills
• Experience with PCB assembly and modifications
• Familiarity with IPC standards
• Experience with microscopic work

Preferred Education and Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years electronics manufacturing experience
• Lean Manufacturing exposure

• Must be willing to provide employment references at an interview
• Must be professional and committed to a career
• Able to stand, kneel, and work with small components on a routine basis
