Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a PCB Layout Designer for a precision measurement technology company which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in PCB layout and design for manufacturing looking to further their career in electronics R&D.
Perform PCB layout of complex circuitry with tight mechanical constraints and generate schematics and design documents.
Manage boards from layout through fabrication and assembly, including manufacturer evaluation and technical capability reviews.
Support prototype assembly, testing, and troubleshooting; participate in design reviews.
Work on one or two R&D projects at a time with the hardware engineering team.
Essential Qualifications
2+ years of PCB layout experience (8+ years for senior level).
Altium or other PCB layout software, schematic capture, strong DFM knowledge, and basic analog/digital electronics; fabrication and assembly vendor experience preferred.
Associate degree or BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; must be work-authorized in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Bonus Qualifications
CID/CID+ certification; rigid-flex or flex design and signal integrity (senior level).
Hand soldering and rework of fine-pitch parts (0402, DFN); test equipment skills.
Python or LabVIEW programming.
