PCB Final Inspection Supervisor

The PCB Final Inspection Supervisor oversees the final inspection process of printed circuit boards to ensure all products meet quality, reliability, and customer specifications. This role manages inspection personnel, coordinates with production and engineering teams, and ensures compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision & Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PCB inspectors.
  • Assign inspection tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to schedules.
  • Conduct training sessions for inspection staff on processes, standards, and equipment.
• Inspection Oversight:
  • Ensure final inspection of all PCBs for visual defects, soldering quality, component placement, and other quality parameters.
  • Review inspection reports and implement corrective actions for recurring defects.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all inspections.
• Process & Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection procedures and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, IPC (e.g., IPC-A-610), and customer-specific standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to PCB quality.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to address issues and improve yield.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly inspection reports and metrics.
  • Investigate defects, recommend process improvements, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are implemented.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement new inspection tools, techniques, and technologies to improve overall quality.
• Customer Quality Liaison:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding PCB quality concerns or inspection-related issues.
  • Investigate customer complaints, coordinate root cause analysis, and communicate findings and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (production, engineering, and quality) to resolve issues promptly and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Track trends in customer feedback and implement process improvements to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PCB inspection or electronics manufacturing.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PCB inspection techniques, soldering standards, and defects.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, or equivalent standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
