Description

About the Role

At 7:15 AM you power up your bench in our prosthetics shop and review the day’s build list. By mid-morning, you’re hand-placing components and soldering both surface-mount and through-hole connections that bring our microprocessor-controlled hydraulic knees and feet to life. After lunch, you’re routing wire harnesses, running in-process inspections, and partnering with teammates to keep production moving smoothly. At day’s end—around 5:00 PM—you’ve contributed to devices that help people move with confidence. Occasionally, you’ll join us on a Saturday (about 6 hours) to meet demand.

What You’ll Build and Do

  • Solder electronic components to printed circuit boards (PCBs), including SMD and through-hole joints.
  • Inspect and verify your work to ensure every assembly meets our quality standards.
  • Operate soldering tools and equipment precisely while following all safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the assembly team to maintain flow and achieve production goals.
  • Support adjacent electro-mechanical assembly tasks as needed to complete builds.
  • Keep a tidy, well-organized workstation to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Flag and report material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to your supervisor.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on electronic assembly experience. Related backgrounds such as audio equipment installation, home networking, or PC building are highly relevant.
  • Knowledge of soldering practices—through-hole and surface-mount techniques preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly instructions and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for precision.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-first mindset.

Schedule & Pay

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM; occasional Saturdays (~6 hours).
